Willodeen¶
▶️ Watch & Read Along¶
🧠 Read Together¶
Tips for 🌻 Growing Readers (ages 7–9). Reading together for just 15 minutes a day builds vocabulary, focus and a lifelong love of stories.
- Set a purpose: “Let’s find out why the character makes the choice they make.”
- Keep captions on and challenge your reader to stay one word ahead of the narrator.
- Jot down one new word to look up together afterwards.
- Pause at a turning point and predict what happens next — then check!
- Compare this story to another book you have read. What is the same? What is different?
- Write two sentences: one thing you liked and one question you still have.
- Who was your favorite character in Willodeen, and why?
- What was the problem in the story? How did it get solved?
- If you could change the ending, what would happen instead?
- How do you think the main character felt at the end?
